City of Beverly Hills Launches Trust and Innovation (TIP) Portal

Beverly Hills, CA
(September 18, 2019) – In an ongoing effort to improve local government and ensure transparent and effective City operations, the City of Beverly Hills has launched the Trust and Innovation Portal (TIP) at www.beverlyhills.org/tip.

“Whether it be improvements to traffic, technology or enhancing the overall quality of life in our City, this is about embracing ideas,” said Mayor John Mirisch.  “After all, the ‘I’ stands for Innovation.”

The site is managed by the newly created Office of the City Auditor and will serve several important functions.  Visitors to the portal may share ideas for performance enhancement of City services as well as confidentially report suspected cases of improper activity.

“We are pleased to unveil TIP as a groundbreaking tool for our community,” said City Auditor Eduardo Luna. “TIP maintains trust by safeguarding taxpayer dollars and resources while encouraging strategic thinking and innovative solutions.”

The City Auditor will investigate alleged improper activity and, depending on the nature of the issue, may report findings to City management or law enforcement.  The Auditor will maintain the confidentiality of all complaints, associated reports, and other documents.  In addition to the online portal, residents and employees may submit tips or ideas by calling 310-288-2TIP (310-288-2847) or emailing TIP@beverlyhills.org.

Established in 2018, the Office of the City Auditor is an independent office that reports directly to the City Council.  The Office conducts performance audits of City departments, offices, and agencies in accordance with government auditing standards and provides routine public updates to the City Council.
