Beverly Hills City Council to Hold Special Closed Session Meeting Today at 1:30 p.m. Followed by Emergency Public Session at Approximately 2 p.m.

Beverly Hills, CA – The Beverly Hills City Council will hold a special Closed Session meeting this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. followed by a City Council Emergency Meeting at approximately 2 p.m. to discuss the ongoing public health concerns regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).  


The Council is expected to make additional recommendations regarding business practices, parking enforcement, utility shut-offs, tenant protections and social distancing within the City and other urgent matters.

 

The Council is also expected to ratify the local emergency declaration issued yesterday by Director of Emergency Services and City Manager George Chavez.

 

A majority of the City Council is scheduled to meet through teleconference.  Public access will be available in City Hall with social distancing measures in place, but members of the public are strongly encouraged to stay home and watch the meeting online at www.beverlyhills.org/live or on BHTV. 

 

During the closed session, the public may call 310-285-2528 to offer comment.

 

During the emergency public session, the public may call 310-285-1020 to offer comment.
